Citizens Bank Minnesota Graduates 17 Leadership Course Participants

Citizens Bank Minnesota is pleased to announce that seventeen staff members have completed Citizens leadership programs. The programs consist of two internal programs, Citizens Leadership Academy, a two-year program and Citizens Leadership Accelerated Module, a one-year program, both were developed to prepare staff to take on leadership roles within the organization as opportunities arise.  The Bank looks for individuals who have a commitment, as well as a desire to achieve extraordinary accomplishments throughout their career with Citizens.

The four employees who have recently completed the Citizens Leadership Program, a two-year program include: Melissa Lambrecht, Mortgage Loan Processor, New Ulm, employed 5 years with the Bank; Kristin Marlowe, Sr. Client Service Representative, New Ulm, employed 7 years with the Bank; Amber Portner, Citizens Connection Representative, New Ulm, employed 3 years with the Bank; and Brooke Wilfahrt, Loan Processor, New Ulm, employed 3 years with the Bank.

The Citizens Leadership Accelerated Module is a fast track program developed for mid-level officers who already experience leadership roles within their positions. Thirteen staff members have recently completed this one-year program in three different modules:

Individual Contributor Module: Lynn Fink, AVP, Compliance Officer, New Ulm, employed 17 years with the Bank; Judy Johnson, Assistant Financial Officer, New Ulm, employed 14 years with the Bank; Julie Mathiowetz, Assistant Director of Client Services, New Ulm, employed 21 years with the Bank; and Stacy Merkel, AVP, Auditor, New Ulm, employed 17 years with the Bank.

Lender Module: Nick Peterson, AVP, Ag Lending, Lafayette, employed 6 years with the Bank; Kyle Potswald, AVP, Lending, Lakeville, employed 2 years with the Bank; Lisa Schneider, AVP, Mortgage Lending, New Ulm, employed 19 years with the Bank; and Laura Scholtz, Ag Lending Officer, La Salle, employed 1 year with the Bank.

Manager Module: Maria Anderson, AVP, Mortgage Lending, New Ulm, employed 34 years with the Bank; Sara Bode, AVP, HR Director, New Ulm, employed 10 years with the Bank; Nick Hage, AVP, Insurance Agency Manager, New Ulm, employed 12 years with the Bank; Scott Tauer, VP, Branch Manager, La Salle, employed 10 years with the Bank; and Missy Visser, Marketing and Culture Officer, New Ulm, employed 20 years with the Bank.

Ten Complete Leadership Programs at Citizens Bank Minnesota

Citizens Bank Minnesota is pleased to announce that ten staff members have completed the Citizens Leadership Program. The program, which includes Citizens Leadership Academy and Citizens Leadership Course, was developed to grow leadership skills as well as develop personal and professional growth. 

The Citizens Leadership Academy (CLA) is an internal two-year program that was developed to prepare staff to take on leadership roles in the organization as opportunities arise. The Bank looks for individuals who have a commitment to Citizens, and also have a desire to achieve extraordinary accomplishments through a leadership role. In 2019, six completed the program: Nicole Anderson, Joan Forstner, Laura Franta, Judy Hahn, Tanya Hillesheim, and Sarah Seifert.  Anderson, Loan Processor/Administrative Assistant, LaSalle Branch, has 8 years with the Bank; Forstner, Systems Operator/Bookkeeper, has 15 years with the Bank; Franta, Sr. Client Service Representative, has 4 years with the Bank; Hahn, Loan Processor/Administrative Assistant, has 14 years with the Bank; Hillesheim, Loan Processor/Administrative Assistant, has 5 years with the Bank, and Seifert, Digital Marketing Coordinator, has 7 years with the Bank.

The Citizens Leadership Course (CLC) is an internal one-year program that was developed to prepare staff to take on leadership roles within their department as opportunities arise. The Bank looks for individuals who have a commitment to Citizens, and have a desire to take on more responsibilities within their current departments. In 2019, four completed the program: Lori Dummer, Ashley Eckstein, Denise Fischer, and Kay Meinzer. Dummer, Marketing Assistant, has 4 years with the Bank; Eckstein, Systems Operator/Bookkeeper, has 6 years with the Bank; Fischer, Insurance Agent/Administrative Assistant, has 2 ½ years with Citizens Agency; and Meinzer, Personal Banker, has 6 years with the Bank.

Currently, there are 17 staff members in the Citizens Leadership Academy who will complete their programs at year-end 2020.

2017-2018 Citizens Bank Minnesota Leadership Academy Graduates

Citizens Bank Minnesota is pleased to announce that Melissa Bergeman, Lisa Reinarts and Jenn Wendorff recently completed Citizens Leadership Academy (CLA).  The CLA is an internal two-year program that was developed to grow leadership skills of staff members to prepare them to take on bigger roles in the organization as opportunities arise.  The two-year program focuses on personal and professional growth.   The bank looks for individuals who not only have a commitment to Citizens, but also have a desire to achieve extraordinary accomplishments through a leadership role.   Bergeman is a dedicated Citizens employee of 9 years and her current role is Citizens Connection Manager. She graduated cum laude from Minnesota State University Mankato earning a Bachelor of Science Degree in Speech Communication with minors in Technical Writing and Interdisciplinary Communications. Bergeman lives in Madelia with her daughter Faith.  Reinarts is a dedicated Citizens employee of 10 years and her current role is Assistant Operations Manager. She graduated from Minnesota State University Mankato, earning a Bachelor of Science Degree in General Management with minors in Accounting and Business Administration. Reinarts lives in Courtland with her husband Brandon and their sons Keagan and Kellan.  Wendorff is a dedicated Citizens employee of 15 years and her current role is Personal Banker. She is a graduate from Rasmussen College, earning an Associate Degree in Business. Wendorff lives in New Ulm with her husband Dustin and their children Makenna and Brody.   Citizens currently has 14 staff members in Leadership Development Programs who will complete their programs at year end 2019 and 2020.
