2016 Citizens Race 2 Raise 5K

Citizens Bank Minnesota’s Relay for Life team held their 2nd Annual Race 2 Raise 5K fundraiser on Saturday, June 11, 2016.  127 participants came to run and walk the 5K route, which started at Citizens, continued south on Minnesota Street to 16th South, then back along the bike trail, ending at German Park.  The 5K was professionally chip-timed and there were medals awarded to the top 3 males and top 3 females in seven different age brackets.

The 2016 Race 2 Raise 5K raised $3,061.99 for Relay for Life! Citizens looks forward to even more participants in the event in 2017.

2013 theGirls! Gala

Girls Gala 2013“50 Shades of Winter” was an appropriate theme for Citizens Bank Minnesota’s 2013 theGirls! Gala.  On January 30th, over 300 women braved the cold, icy winter weather to attend this year’s event!

Mankato Mosaic Theatre Company was the evening’s entertainment. They kept everyone laughing  with their fun interpretations of office workers trying to lose weight after the holidays, a young couple trying to have an anniversary dinner at a restaurant (with their two year old!), late night Walmart dancing, and last but not least, a Minnesotan’s version of the popular book series, “50 Shades of Grey”.

T & K Event Planners and Decorators had Turner Hall beautifully done up in black, grey and pink.  Turner Hall’s chicken wild rice soup served in bread bowls warmed all the guests and cheesecake for dessert made the meal just perfect!  Our Citizens bartenders kept the bar side running smoothly so the ladies were free to mingle and visit while employee members of theGirls! made sure everyone was served their meal in record time.

The night was capped off with a drawing for ten door prizes. One lucky winner even walked away with a Coach wristlet, donated by Citizens Agency!

Wonderful food, great entertainment and a night out with some fabulous ladies –I’d say the event was a success!  We were extremely pleased with the turnout and hope to continue making the annual Gala something everyone looks forward to!

If you would like to find out more information on how to become a member of theGirls! please send your primary email address to: and we will be happy to pass that along to you!  You don’t want to miss out on any of the great events that theGirls! have planned for the rest of the year!

Relay for Life fundraising events occur throughout the year in every part of the country. The Citizens team has been involved in the Brown County event since 1996.  This year, the Brown County Relay for Life event will be held on Friday, July 27 at 5:00 p.m. at the Brown County Fairgounds. Let’s create more Birthdays! Please join us and see what we can do together!
